Thermal parks

Ischia is known for its beaches and its thermal waters, which flow naturally from underground.

We always recommend going to one of the many thermal parks located near the tourist resorts, from Forio to Lacco Ameno, Casamicciola and Barano.

The Thermal Park closest to the Hotel Villa Angelica is the “Parco Negombo” in Lacco Ameno, located in the Bay of San Montano. The Park consists of 12 outdoor thermal pools and an indoor swimming pool, located inside the Wellness Center where you can also perform beauty and mineral treatments.

In Casamicciola there is the “Parco Termale Castiglione“, fed by an ancient source, from which you can enjoy a splendid view of the Gulf and the Neapolitan Coast. Also in Casamicciola, there are also the “Acque del Gurgitiello“, one of the oldest thermal park in Ischia, founded in the 1800s for the nobles who came to the island.

The largest thermal park in Ischia is instead located in Forio and is the Poseidon Gardens. The structure has more than 20 pools fed by therapeutic thermal waters; there is also a Wellness Center and a beach.

If you want to see what the thermal park was like in ancient times, you have to go to the source of “Cavascura ai Maronti“; here Roman emperors and senators relaxed. These thermal parks are characterized by ancient caves and waterfalls fed by hot springs. The thermal park is located about 300 meters from the Maronti beach.
